Debra Medina For Governor!

Sorry Governor Goodhair and Senator Bighair, you two just don’t cut it as conservatives.  And boy, do we need conservatives, ones who believe in the Constitution, one who believes that property taxes are killing us and who will hold high the 10 Amendments to the Constitution; you know, like the 2nd, the 9th and the 10th, especially the 10th.

GM’s Place is proud to endorse Debra Medina (true) Republican for Governor! I’ve listened to her, gone over her website Debra Medina for Texas Governor, and tried to come up with a single reason to support our current Governor or his opponent from the US Senate. Needless to say, I couldn’t. Governor Perry is a good man, but he is no conservative and has not been a terrific governor. From mandating girls getting vaccinations (Note, I don’t object to cervical cancer vaccinations, but mandating them? No way!) to toll roads and reckless spending, he hasn’t done his best for Texas. Senator Hutchinson has a number of faults not the least of which is being pro abortion (yeah, yeah, I know, pro-choice, yeah, yeah, yeah) and is a major pork barrel supporter supporting earmarks and other wasteful spending, and, like LBJ (despite earlier comments that she would resign her senate seat in the fall of 2009) plans to keep her seat until she finds out if she can defeat Perry and Medina by not resigning until after the March Primary.

But that is enough from me, I want a real conservative, not a weak kneed one, not a RINO, a real conservative. Listen to Debra Medina yourself and see if she isn’t right for you as well as for Texas!

I had made up my mind to not support Perry and certainly wouldn’t even consider Kaye in the run for governor. Over and over Perry has shown he has no control over the leadership within his own party and has allowed bills on immigration to languish in limbo while the people are calling for the bills to be put to a vote. Kaye has no business being Governor and has no other reason for running with hopes to win so she can step it up to the WH. Perry is also a WH wannabe. Time to put both of them out to pasture.
Thanks for bringing Medina to light again. It would appear that many are taking the same hard look at her as you have and as I will be doing as well. From what little I have read and seen, I believe she is the right one, at the right time for this Republic.

  2. Hey GM, if you haven’t put this endorsement on Debra’s website t MedinaforTexas.com, you really should. They’re great peole over there and they’ll be very happy to let you know what a great person you are.

Now comes the hard part. We gotta push like hell to get more people aware of her. I strongly believe she can win the primary, but een if she doesn’t, we will hav set a strong message to Perry about how we feel.

Push, baby, push! Tweet, Baby, Tweet!

Perry is the real conservative in this race. The proven conservative. GREAT governor. Texas leads the nation. Medina is fine and all, but Perry is just as good, and he is a proven commodity. Texas #1.

I don’t know Scipio. Perry would be my second choice, but he has done too many “RINOish” things to suit me. I have no idea if Debra can win this or not, but Perry had only 39 percent of the last vote (I think) so it is do-able. Medina is a staunch, tried and true conservative who really wants to do better business in Texas than our current fairly free spending Governor does. Plus, he is pushing toll roads and while that may be appropriate in a very few areas, the state wide plan sucks both in money spent and money lost due to construction delay’s etc. That and his push to make vaccinations mandatory was just a little too much for me. At least them’s my thoughts as we Texicans say.
