KSM2NYC – Stupidity, Disrespect, and Payback
By now you have heard that Obama is bringing Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the self-admitted terrorist “mastermind” of 9-11, to New York. KSM will be tried in a courthouse that was actually in the shadow of the World Trade Center, when it still existed.
This leads one to ask:
Why would our government do something so wrong??
Here are some answers:
1) Because they are incredibly dumb. Obama’s statements have shown him to be utterly ignorant of international affairs. He is awe-struck by the “majesty” of the trans-nationalist vision – one world without national boundaries. He is clueless about how to deal with war or conflict, other than to prostrate himself – which always worked before to get him attention and approval.
Verdict:Dumb as a Doorknob
2)Obama is desperate for approval (the psych docs here can attest to his narcissim). He thinks this folly will show that he has made the US respectable; that it now follows all the formalisms ordered by European intellectuals; that he, and he alone, has ended our evil ways of the past (that he keeps reminding us about); that while America has never been respectable before, he is now correcting that.
Verdict:Obama has never respected America, but he desperately wants respect for himself.
2) The hard left needs Bush administration officials to suffer for protecting us the last eight years. Their hatred knows no bounds (check their websites), and Obama needs to pay them back before they turn on him.
By bringing this trial to the US, Obama sets it up so that KSM’s lawyers will cause disclosure of the most secret actions of the hated Bushies and CIA operatives. The result will be trials in foreign countries (i.e. Europe) convicting Cheney, Bush and others of ‘crimes against humanity’ (the European term for “actions we don’t like, or by people we don’t like”) – confining them to ‘house arrest’ within US borders, and (in lefty eyes) destroying their reputations.
Of course, a minor side effect also be the disclosure of secrets to our enemies. It will also deter anyone from ever fighting our enemies except with kid gloves. Our war against Jihadism will suffer an extreme set-back. The only silver lining in the cloud will be when those same tranzi courts convict Obama for rocketing terrorists’ houses in Pakistan.
Verdict:Payback and treachery (and more stupidity)!

Another possibility, which boggles the mind yet cannot be dismissed as utterly impossible, is that the Administration wants at least one of the five jihadists to go free.
Why? To keep the populace in a state of directionless fear. A fearful people is easily ruled; a fearless, mobilized people is not.
I really want to be wrong about this…but I can’t help suspecting.
Francis, you are likely correct, and let me add to this, a terrifying possibility is that jihadists will strike at the courts and kill/injure many, many more innocent civilians in their war against reason and freedoms.
