GM Supports The Arts To Make Political Statements – NSFW!
When Yosi Sergant took the fall for the NEA imbroglio with the arts community and was “re-assigned” I knew that his resignation/termination would soon follow, after all, Obama has a significant history of throwing people under the bus.
Statement from the NEA:
“Following is a statement from the National Endowment for the Arts. Please let me know if you have further questions.
“This afternoon Yosi Sergant submitted his resignation from the National Endowment for the Arts. His resignation has been accepted and is effective immediately.”
But the whole thing got me to thinking, if Obama could blatantly use a quasi-governmental organization to push his political agenda, that is use “artists” to make political statements in favor of an Obama position, then I, as a self proclaimed photoshopist could certainly use art to express an idea opposed to Obama, or an Obama position.
I mean, after all, Obama has used TV, singing and chanting cherubs, kids in black T-Shirts and fatigue pants and combat boots to chant some sort of paen to Obama than certainly, I, one of the loyal opposition could do the same, i.e., use art to express a position. I even heard that there is a contest for artists expressing political positions.
So, without further ado, I present “Piss Obama”:
I mean, he DOES think he’s the messiah doesn’t he? And you don’t think that I care what Andres Serrano thinks do you?
