Obama Care = Decreased Access
Many of the “elderly” and the “soon to be elderly” (translation: the Boomers) voted for the president who needs training wheels hoping that he would get “universal health care” by which they really mean universal health insurance. Health care is not denied to anyone in this country and if you doubt that, head to any emergency room in the United States and ask how many waiting for their turn have insurance, or are even legally in this country. The answer will of course astound you. Of course the problem is is that no one with a lick of sense wants a program that decreases their access to health care yet, with president Earbama that is likely to be what they get. This fairly long video (but, don’t let that keep you from watching it) points out just what you will be losing when Obamacare passes.
And if that didn’t scare the crap out of you than you have no sense what-so-ever. Well, no health care sense at any rate. Look, don’t let the glib promises fool you, Obama cannot possibly provide all the goodies and social candy that he has promised without taking away your freedom and liberty.
Update: And if you think the access is a problem, wait till you see the real costs of Obama Care. Fausta has the lowdown on health care costs. …and how are you going to pay for that “free” healthcare? part 2

I need the Cliff’s Notes version of that video, but, boy, those emergency room waits wouldn’t work for kidney stones. To ease the pain, I’d probably have to go nuts and break into the pharmacy to get some of that stuff that Micahel Jackson used.
I don’t even like bureaucratic care by BCBS and the need to have my primary care physician refer me to a specialist when he could handle it himself or if I want a quick appointment.
Besides dealing with the frustrations of government stupidity and inefficiencies, if the speed of medical care or its rationing is limited or assigned by supposed need, how long will it be until it is rationed by political affiliatons and connections? Isn’t that how the communist nations do it? Isn’t it funny that the leaders of the Left demand care for everyone but better care for themselves?
Do you think that the Democratic Congress will include themselves in any plan that they pass for everyone else?
And, talk about quality of care! A while back, I knew a very fine but poor woman who was having stomach problems, so she went to the government charity hospital. With each visit as it got worse, the doctors there just kept giving her Maalox. A few months later she died of stomach cancer. Great job, government. Those doctors may have had doctorates in history or philosophy, but surely not medicine.
I propose that government rationing first be applied to toilet paper so that people can get an immediate sense of the issue. When they find that they can’t get any and that the tissues they get are recycled or full of splinters, then they might have second thoughts about government rationing of health care.
Now that I think about it, this might be a good slogan to discribe government health care.
“Obama health care is like Russian toilet paper. You may have to wait days for it, it costs more than it’s worth, you don’t get half of what you need, and, in the end, it rubs you the wrong way.”
The Republican Plan, which I like better:
“Quit spending money on booze, get a job, and pay your own medical expenses.”
Halfway point, GM…both the Dodgers & Red Sox looking good. Scary good. And after a couple of good trades by the Braves, who knows?
The Braves won’t get it done. We beat the Mets tonight, but the new ownership just wants a decent and cheap team rather than a great team. I’m going tomorrow night when they retire Greg Maddux’s #31 jersey.
And, Maddux did all that without any help from government.
Maddux was truly a great control picture but Glavine had more 20 game seasons. However, for pure dominance I’d take Schilling and Johnson at their peak with Arizona. And I might be giving away my age, but the really great era for pitchers in my lifetime was the ’60s, with Marichal, Gibson, Drysdale, Sutton, and Koufax. Although he quit at his peak, as much as I hated him as a rival Dodger, I have to admit that in my book, Koufax was the greatest, 27 wins and an ERA 1.73 in his last season.
When I first saw the title, I read it as “Deceased Access” – and you know, it sorta makes sense, doesn’t it
Well, I’ve been having a rather nasty thought of consolation these days.
A lot of those who voted BHO into office are going to get screwed big time if ObamaKare becomes law. My Canadian-immigrant neighbor, a rabid fan of BHO, is going to have fits. I’m going to watch with glee.
Not much consolation, but it’s all I have these days.
