I think you guys are right though in that he's used the economic crisis to full speed go after more power. Does he not care that he appoints a bunch of tax cheats? From what I've heard his vetting process has bogged down because they're not taking anymore chances of that happening. Could be true. I think I'm with those who would give him credit for being a formidable opponent though; it's never smart to underestimate your opponent. He supports dictators because he wants to emulate them and wants their support.
